Aquasana Claryum® AQ-5200 Under Sink Water Filter in Polished Chrome

The Aquasana AQ-5200 water filter is the latest and greatest way to produce fresh, filtered water conveniently at home with a two-stage Claryum filtration technology system. This filter combination can effectively remove a wide range of common water contaminants including chloramines, chlorine, mercury, VOC's and parasites, making your water safer to drink while improving its taste.

The AQ-5200 is very easy to install and has been designed to fit into small under-sink areas. It comes complete with a mounting bracket, supply line, T-fitting, nickel tap, colour coded tubing, filter cartridges and an easy to follow illustrated instruction guide. Typical installation requires only 20 minutes and the use of only pliers and a screwdriver. Depending on your plumbing capability you may be able to instal the system yourself.

Once installed, the system allows you to get the best filtered water at a fraction of the cost of bottled water while offering superior value to other filter options. Aquasana's patented dual filter system uses a combination of carbon filtration, ion exchange and sub-micron filtration to produce filtered, great-tasting water. Claryum Technology Filters

Aquasana has produced a new set of filters for their dual-stage process that uses a similar filtration method while achieving better results. These Claryum filters work in three distinct stages, starting with activated carbon processing before moving on to ion exchange and sub-micron filtration. Together, this combination forces water through more than two million square feet of the surface area of contaminant-grabbing filtration material.

In addition to reducing a wide-spanning list of chemicals and contaminants, the Claryum selective filtration technology reduces odour and improves the taste of tap water while also preserving its healthiest minerals. Therefore, useful rock minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium are preserved, ensuring optimum hydration which is vital for growth, development and overall health and wellness.

Each filter serves its own purpose within the dual filtration setup and as water progresses through the AQ-5200 different contaminants will be removed. The first filter is used for:

Filter Installation

Installing new filters in the AQ-5200 is easier than ever with Aquasana's newly developed smart alert system. This new technology causes the AQ-5200 to sound a beeping alarm when its filters need replacing, allowing for precision information that reduces wasted filter life while ensuring that water is being filtered to a high level.

Typically the filters used within the AQ-5200 have an average filter life of 6 months with a recommended capacity of 500 gallons. Therefore, the filters will only need to be changed 2 - 3 times over a year, depending on how heavily they are used.
