Aquasana Rhino® EQ-304 Replacement Pre-Filter Cartridges

The EQ-304 filter is intended for use as a replacement pre-filter cartridge with the EQ-600 Whole House Water Filter, EQ-400 Whole House Water Filter, or the EQ-AST Whole House Water Conditioner. It is designed to combat sediment in the source water before it reaches the main tank filter and can last about 2 months once it has been activated. It should be changed when the colour of the filter darkens or when the flow rate slows.

Filtration Capabilities

The EQ-304 is a pre-filter that acts as the first stage of water filtration with the applicable filtration systems. It is designed to filter out sediment over 1 micron in size from the source water before it reaches the main tank filter. This helps to keep the tank in good condition over its lifespan preventing large sediment contaminants from damaging its filtration medium.

Replacement Method

The EQ-304 filter cartridge is easy to replace in any typical Whole House Filter setup and by following the recommended method it should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Each set comes with 4 individual replacement cartridges, which when used in turn will typically last for a year of use depending on the quality of the source water. The set also includes a set of instructions showing the fastest method to safely remove the old cartridge and install the new one and no power tools are required to make the exchange.
